This page contains descriptions of the requirements according to the different activities: helicopters, aircrafts, paragliding, ultralights and drones, as well as the PPR notice procedures for some of those activities.
General advice
Please read and apply carefully the provisions of the official regulations, including those in the visual approach chart, available on this page (Preflight briefing" > VAC ATLAS > Aerodromes and then by searching for LFKX). Feel free to contact the Club for any doubts or questions.
A serious training is required to use safely the Altiport. Radio is mandatory
Arrival: There is no specific approach circuits for helicopters. Please follow the circuit for aircraft
Parking: Space limited. Mandatory north of the tower building, for 15 minutes maximum, and for 2 helo maximum. Private pilots with their own helo are welcome, plese get in touch with the club before your arrival.
Departure: Check your radio (on and readable volume) before moving. Check that no aircraft is in final, nor at take off before beginning your take-off.
Méribel is the most difficult Altiport, because of the short runway, the high altitude and very demanding aerology during approach, especially in summer.
Mountain training with an instructor labeled by French PNVM for mountain flying is strongly advised before coming solo.
Short runway with slope, NO POSSIBLE GO AROUND
Runway covered by snow during winter season: the Altiport can only be used with skis.
There is no specific circuit for ultralights: please follow the aircraft circuit.
Radio is mandatory by making blind calls during approach and departure of the Altiport.
