From September 26 to 28, 2025, the Méribel flying club hosted the theoretical training course for mountain flight instructors from the French Association of Mountain Pilots (AFPM). The flying club, through the AFPM, is one of three organizations that provide this type of training in France. Over three days, these experienced pilots reviewed all the theoretical knowledge and the various flight training programs. The four instructors for this course are all mountain flight instructors at the Méribel flying club and were able to share their knowledge with the participants. The course also gave participants the opportunity to discover the resort and the various restaurants open during the off-season. After this theoretical training, participants will have to pass a control flight, then complete a practical training course of around ten hours of flight time. They have therefore arranged to meet again this winter and next summer to finalize their training.

Finally, the Méribel flying club will open on December 15 to welcome pilots and offer discovery flights to anyone who wants to see the Three Valleys from the sky!
